Keep a biweekly pay period split into workweeks
A pay period can cover two weeks, but the workweek totals still need to stay separate when reviewing weekly overtime. Biweekly mode presents fourteen days while calculating Week 1 and Week 2 independently.
Use the combined total for a pay-period check. Use the separate week totals to inspect regular and overtime hours without applying one 80-hour threshold to the whole period.
Worked example
Week 1 has 42 worked hours and Week 2 has 38. With weekly overtime enabled, the card shows 40 regular plus 2 overtime hours for Week 1 and 38 regular hours for Week 2.
Common uses

Frequently asked questions
Does biweekly payroll mean overtime starts after 80 hours?
Not for a standard weekly overtime calculation. The calculator evaluates Week 1 and Week 2 independently at the selected weekly threshold.
How do I calculate a two-week time card?
Use Biweekly Time Card mode, enter each day in its own week, and calculate the card to review Week 1, Week 2, and the combined total.
Can I include overnight shifts in a biweekly card?
Yes. An end time earlier than the start is treated as occurring the following day.
Can I add multiple shifts in one day?
Yes. Add up to four non-overlapping shifts to a day.
Can I save a biweekly time card?
Yes. Optional saves stay in this browser on the current device until you delete them or clear site data.
